E-commerce is very popular in my small survey. Most people (87%) have bought something online (20 out of 23). Only 3 people looked at products online but never bought. This shows that online shopping is normal for most people I know.
Monthly shopping is the most common habit (11 people). Five people shop online every week. Young adults (18–25) are the largest group in my survey (15 people). Most are college graduates.
Trendyol was the favorite site for 16 people (80%). Hepsiburada and n11 were also popular in Turkey. My results are similar to national trends. Pew Research Center reports that most Americans buy things online and many use phones to shop. The U.S. Census Bureau also shows that e-commerce keeps growing every year (about 16% of retail sales in 2024).
